NEW YORK, NY, April 10, 2026 – Women’s sports are thriving. And the athletes who drive them are only getting stronger. Google Pixel today announced a renewed partnership with the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA), National Women’s Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA), and U.S. Women’s National Team Players Association (USWNTPA), deepening its role as the Official Mobile Phone Partner of the Players. Facilitated by OneTeam, the commercial partner to all three unions, this collaboration brings together some of the most influential player communities in sports to create new opportunities for athlete-driven growth and storytelling.
The partnership is built on the reality that these athletes are no longer waiting for recognition; they are creating value, driving business, and redefining what’s possible on their own terms. As these athletes ascend at a historic pace, Google Pixel is deploying its technology to help chronicle their epic stories, solidify their foundations, and extend the opportunities they are forging in real time.
“Women athletes are rewriting the playbook for leadership and cultural impact,” said Adrienne Lofton, Global Vice President, Product & Integrated Consumer Marketing, Google. “At Google, we share that relentless drive to challenge the status quo. We are proud to deploy Pixel’s elite technology to help these pioneering athletes amplify their voices and accelerate the momentum they’ve built. We aren’t just watching history; we’re engineering the tools to power and be a part of it.”
At the center of this partnership is the continued development of Players Lab, an initiative that brings athletes into the product development process as collaborators. Early work has focused on athlete insights across health, performance, and lifestyle, helping inform future innovation. To date, the partnership has been built by athletes, for athletes. Google Pixel has collaborated with more than 25 athletes through its Players Lab, integrating direct player feedback into product development, and has hosted more than 90 current and former athletes across dedicated player lounges at WNBPA and NWSLPA events.
In a joint statement, Terri Carmichael Jackson, Meghann Burke, and Becca Roux, Executive Directors of the WNBPA, NWSLPA, and USWNTPA, said: “Our players have built value across their sports and in culture. Working alongside our commercial partner OneTeam and with Google Pixel, this partnership is about continuing that momentum and ensuring players remain at the center of the value being created.”
The partnership also includes Pixel Player Portrait Studios, providing athletes with access to premium photography powered by Pixel’s AI-enabled camera technology. The content captured supports players in building and controlling their personal brands across platforms, turning moments into lasting assets.
Pixel will support a series of player-led cultural moments across each association, including activations during WNBA All-Star Week, NWSL Championship Weekend, and the USWNTPA Players’ Ball. These moments remain a core part of the collaboration, strengthened as platforms for visibility, connection, and cultural impact.
