NEW YORK, April 18, 2025 – The Women’s National Basketball Players Association (“WNBPA”), fueled by the soaring popularity of its players and the explosive growth of women’s basketball, has announced a partnership with PENN Entertainment, Inc. (“PENN”), alongside commercial partner OneTeam Partners. This non-exclusive agreement designates PENN’s online sports betting platforms, ESPN BET™ in the U.S. and theScore BET® in Canada, as the first Officially Licensed Sportsbooks of the WNBPA.
The partnership provides PENN with rights to incorporate WNBA players’ names, images, and likenesses into its online sports betting platforms, ESPN BET and theScore BET, as well as PENN’s retail sportsbooks and betting kiosks across the U.S.
PENN also gains the rights to use player name, image and likeness in marketing assets and promotional campaigns.
