Santa Barbara, CA, December 4, 2024 – Shiftwave, the groundbreaking wellness technology company, has entered a multi-year agreement with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), OneTeam Partners, and Exos to transform the well-being of current and former players. The partnership leverages Shiftwave’s patented nervous system regulation technology to improve athlete wellness and recovery while driving initiatives in engagement, licensing, events, marketing, and research.

Shiftwave, the world’s most advanced nervous system regulation device, is designed to enhance recovery, mental health, and overall wellness for athletes. It uses patented bio-drive technology and pulsed-pressure waves to reset and balance the nervous system. This reduces pain, improves sleep, boosts vitality, and promotes natural healing for faster recovery.

Mike North, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder of Shiftwave, stated: “Our partnership with the NFLPA, OneTeam, and Exos—each a leader in their respective industries—creates a powerful team to advance athlete health and wellness. This alliance will unlock new levels of performance and recovery through our advanced nervous system optimization technology, while driving critical research to improve player well-being.”

This collaboration focuses on advancing player health, safety, and performance through joint research and advocacy efforts. It aims to foundationally address critical issues relating to physiological and mental health, including pain, sleep, and longevity, generating insights to improve long-term outcomes for NFL players. This partnership is also part of the NFLPA’s commitment to expanding its human performance partner portfolio, continually identifying innovative and non-invasive solutions that support players’ health and well-being.

Additionally, Shiftwave’s advanced wellness technology presence within Exos’ performance facilities will expand, providing more athletes with enhanced recovery solutions and optimizing their overall well-being.

Sophie Gage, Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at NFL Players Inc., the marketing and licensing business of the NFLPA, added: “Player health and wellness is a top priority for the NFLPA. This partnership with Shiftwave is a testament to our ongoing efforts to bring innovative and non-invasive wellness solutions to our athletes. We will create valuable opportunities for players to engage with the company and integrate its benefits into their daily lives. We look forward to adding Shiftwave to our portfolio of human performance partners striving to elevate player health and well-being both on and off the field.”

As an officially licensed NFLPA partner, Shiftwave will gain access to NFLPA events, programs, and player-driven initiatives, enabling player engagement as brand ambassadors and integration into the Shiftwave products. OneTeam will support Shiftwave by creating content, integrating their solutions with other player associations, and providing access to partner events. Additionally, OneTeam will help secure funding for projects aimed at addressing common health challenges like pain relief and anxiety.

Sean Sansiveri, CEO of OneTeam, highlighted: “Our mission is to empower athletes with the tools they need to reach their full potential. Shiftwave’s technology strengthens this partnership, delivering significant health benefits to players across all sports. About the NFLPA

The National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) is the union for professional football players in the National Football League. Established in 1956, the NFLPA has a long history of assuring proper recognition and representation of players’ interests. The NFLPA has shown that it will do whatever is necessary to assure that the rights of players are protected—including ceasing to be a union, if necessary, as it did in 1989. In 1993, the NFLPA again was officially recognized as the union representing the players and negotiated a landmark Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NFL. The current CBA will govern the sport through the 2030 season.
